Berezhany Central City Hospital

The hospital provides medical services to the population of three communities – Berezhany city, Saranchykivska and Naraivska territorial communities, which is more than 40,000 people. Additionally, since the start of the full-scale invasion, the hospital has been offering medical services to a large number (over 4,000) of internally displaced persons who have settled in the Berezhany area due to the war.The healthcare facility of the Municipal non-profit enterprise "Berezhany Central City Hospital" is the largest and most capable in the western part of the Ternopil district.The hospital has 8 inpatient departments – therapeutic (including palliative care), surgical, pediatric, traumatology (combined with ENT), neurological, obstetric-gynecological, infectious, and anesthesiology and intensive care. Berezhany Central City Hospital has 191 inpatient beds at its disposal in these departments. The hospital also includes dental and physiotherapy departments, a transfusiology department, and a laboratory diagnostics department.The number of patients treated in the hospital's inpatient departments in 2023 was 7,901 people.In addition, a large number of visitors are seen on an outpatient basis at the polyclinic department. The building of the polyclinic also houses the Municipal Non-Commercial Enterprise "Center for Primary (Medical and Sanitary) Care" of the Berezhany City Council.The daily capacity of the polyclinic (including the Primary Care Center) is 1,200 people.

COMPREHENSIVE REHABILITATION - A PRIORITY OF MODERN MEDICINE

Description: Establishment of a modern rehabilitation center based on the hospital's rehabilitation department, which will be able to provide a full range of medical rehabilitation services.
Objective: To create appropriate modern conditions for comprehensive rehabilitation for various segments of the population and categories of patients.
Social significance: Providing comprehensive rehabilitation for patients of Berezhany Central City Hospital, including servicemen and war veterans, with a focus on mental rehabilitation. For comprehensive rehabilitation, we also plan to utilize the facilities of the newly built city sports complex and the dendrological park in the suburb of Berezhany, Rai village (for mental rehabilitation).

MODERN MEDICINE – DIGITALIZATION, ACCESSIBILITY, ENERGY AUTONOMY

Description: Implementation of digitalization, an electronic queue system, and a call center in the provision of medical services by secondary specialized and primary care levels. Improving patient access to hospital services by updating the barrier-free access system. Ensuring energy autonomy through the use of energy-saving technologies and the implementation of alternative energy sources (second and third phases of solar panel installation).
Objective: To create a unified, modern, barrier-free, and energy-autonomous medical space with the implementation of innovative IT solutions and digital tools.
Social significance: The project will enhance the accessibility, organization, and efficiency of medical service delivery to patients.

PRIORITIES OF THE INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION

Establishment of international partnerships for joint financing of rehabilitation projects.

Implementation of digitalization, an electronic queue system, and a call center in the provision of medical services by secondary specialized and primary care levels.

Improvement of patient access to hospital services by updating the barrier-free access system.

Ensuring energy autonomy through the use of energy-saving technologies and the implementation of alternative energy sources (second and third phases of solar panel installation).

INVESTMENT ATTRACTIVENESS

The hospital is a multidisciplinary healthcare and preventive care facility. It is part of the capable network of healthcare institutions in the Ternopil region and serves as a general provider of secondary specialized medical care on a 24/7 basis.
Service area: over 40,000 residents of the Ternopil district, including Berezhany city and neighboring communities.
Financial capacity for 2024: Contract with the National Health Service of Ukraine (NHSU) - 105 million UAH, local budget funding - 8.9 million UAH.
The commissioning of a stationary rehabilitation department will enable the provision of comprehensive medical services for individuals in need of quality rehabilitation, including injured servicemen. Ensuring the full spectrum of quality rehabilitation medical services is one of the hospital's priority development areas and requires the attraction of investment funds.

APRROVED PROGRAMMES

  • The Development and Support Program for the Municipal Non-Commercial Enterprise "Berezhany Central City Hospital" of the Berezhany City Council for 2023 (Local budget funds: 16.7 million UAH) has been IMPLEMENTED.

  • The Development and Financial Support Program for the Municipal Non-Commercial Enterprise "Berezhany Central City Hospital" of the Berezhany City Council for 2024 (Local budget funds: 8.9 million UAH).

  • The Development Strategy for the Municipal Non-Commercial Enterprise "Berezhany Central City Hospital" of the Berezhany City Council, approved at the beginning of 2023.
