Superhumans Center

This is a modern clinic for prosthetics, rehabilitation, reconstructive surgery and psychological support for military and civilians injured during the war in Ukraine. Superhumans is not a business. All services in the clinic are free of charge for patients. The center is funded by donors and partners. The first Superhumans Center was opened in April 2023 near Lviv (Ukraine). In the coming years, Superhumans will open 5 more centers in different cities of Ukraine: Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Vinnytsia, Rivne, Dnipro. The initiator of the project was Ukrainian businessman Andrey Stavnitser.

Superhumans Center

This is a state-of-the-art all-Ukrainian center for prosthetics, reconstructive surgery, rehabilitation, and psychological support for adults and children affected by the war. The goal of the Center is to return lost opportunities to Ukrainians affected by russian aggression. In addition to medical services, Superhumans also provides assistance in social adaptation, acquiring new skills, and finding a job. Since April 2023, 330 patients of the Center have already received prostheses and returned to normal life.

    The project has investment attractiveness

Superhumans Center plans to open regional branches to bring healthcare services closer to patients. The next Superhumans Center is planned to open in the city of Dnipro, which is home to a large number of veterans and war victims. Superhumans regional centers will provide services for diagnostics, prosthetics, and psychological support.

The project has investment attractivenessSuperhumans Center regularly conducts training for employees and specialists of other Ukrainian medical institutions. In 2023, 15 training events were held, attended by more than 200 people. To scale and deepen the educational direction, it is planned to open a full-fledged educational center for prosthetists, rehabilitation therapists, psychologists and other rehabilitation specialists.

To scale and deepen the educational direction, it is planned to open a full-fledged educational center for prosthetists, rehabilitation therapists, psychologists and other rehabilitation specialists.

Given this urgent need and the successful outcomes in prosthetics and rehabilitation of patient, the Center's support is an opportunity to contribute to health infrastructure and recovery efforts in Ukraine.

RECONSTRUCTION OF UNIT E OF THE SUPERHUMANS CENTER

Goal: to establish a state-of-the-art prosthetics and rehabilitation centre in Ukraine.
Partners: Howard G. Buffett Foundation, Cargill, Payoneer, Crown Agents and other donors.
The launch of the project was supported by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, Ukrainian and international ambassadors.
What has been done: the Superhumans Centre was founded in 2022 in Vynnyky, Lviv region, on the basis of a state medical institution. The premises were reconstructed, equipment was purchased, and the first unit of the centre was opened, which includes a rehabilitation department, prosthetics and a prosthesis manufacturing laboratory. Unit E began operating in April 2023, and since then 470 prostheses have been manufactured and 330 patients have completed a full course of rehabilitation.

After receiving prostheses, patients undergo a rehabilitation process aimed at achieving maximum independence (physical therapy, occupational therapy, hydrotherapy).

EXPANDING MEDICAL EXPERTISE

Expanding the medical expertise of Ukrainian rehabilitation specialists Superhumans Center conducts an educational programme for Ukrainian multidisciplinary rehabilitation teams working with amputees. As part of the programme, such specialists come to Superhumans and undergo theoretical and practical training. The theoretical part consists of narrowly selected topics related to working with people with amputations. The practical part involves working out the acquired knowledge and mentoring by Superhumans center specialists during practical classes.
